Title

First Black AFABs to Graduate from Ursinus College- Deborah C. Bumbry, English Major & Carol Lynne Clark, History Major (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) (1973)

Subject

Racism at Ursinus College

Description

It is baffling that the first black women to graduated from Ursinus only forty-five years ago. The first black man graduated in 1956-- seventeen years beforehand. Not only does this highlight a racial bias on campus, but a gender bias is certainly a factor in the delayed progress of black women at Ursinus College.
